Definition of Future Indefinite Tense


The future indefinite tense is also called The future simple tense. The future simple tense expresses facts and certainty and refers to a future period. Future Indefinite tense is used in both Action and State sentences. It is formed by using the helping verb “will” or “shall” and the basic form (1st form of the verb).

Future simple tense is also used in state sentences. To form the state sentence, the linking verbs "will be" or "shall be" are used for this tense

Simple Future Tense in Hindi/Urdu

Future indefinite tense ko future simple tense bhi kaha jata hai. Ye tense un kaamo ke baare me batata hai jo mustaqbil ya bhavishya me honge jese "aaj barish hogi" ya "kal me school jaonga" etc. Future simple tense action aur state dono sentense me use hota hai jese "wo doctor bane ga" ya me khush hojaonga" etc. Future simple tense banane k lye helping verb "will" ya "shall'' use hote hen aur verb ki basic form use hoti hai.


Formula of Future Simple Tense


Positive Sentence:


Action Subject+will/shall+Verb 1st form

Note: “Shall” is used for 1st persons In British English while in American English “will” is used for all subjects.

 

Examples of Future simple tense : 

  • We shall buy a new car next week. (Hum agle hafte ek nai car khareeden ge)
  • He will write an application for this job. (Wo apni naukri k lye darkhwast likhega)
  • She will cut the cake on her birthday. (Wo apne janam din per cake kaate gi)



State: Subject+will/shall+be+noun/pronoun/adjective


Examples: 

  • You will be successful one day. (Tum ek din kaamyab zaroor hoge)
  • She will be very happy tomorrow. (Wo kal bohot khush hogi)
  • I shall be thankful to you. (Me apka dhannya honga)

Negative Sentence:

Action: Subject+will/shall+not+Verb 1st form


Examples:

  • I shall not go to the park today. (Me aj park nahi jaonga)
  • They will not listen to me. (Wo meri bat nahi sunenge)
  • She will not like the taste of this food. (Usey is khane ka swad pasand nahi ayega)


State: Subject+will/shal+not+be+noun/pronoun/adjective


Examples:

  • He will not be sad. (Wo udaas nahi hoga)
  • I shall not be at home today. (Me aj ghar pe nahi honga)
  • She will not be here forever. (Wo yahan hamesha nahi rahegi)

Interrogative Sentence: 

Action: Will/Shall+Subject+Verb 1st form+? 


Examples:

  • Will she come tomorrow? (Kya wo kal ayegi?)
  • Shall we go to the picnic? (Kya hum picnin pe jaenge)
  • Will they meet us? (Kya wo hum se milenge)


State: Will/Shall+Subject+be+noun/pronoun/adjective+?


Examples:

  • Will you be obedient? (Kya tum farmabardar bano ge?)
  • Will he be here on time? (Kya wo waqt pe yahan hoga?)
  • Shall I be in the office at that time? (Kya me us waqt daftar me honga?)


Uses Of Future Indefinite Tense:


a) Predictions (Pesh goi/Bhavishyawani): You can use the future simple tense to make predictions about the future based on your knowledge or intuition.

Examples:

  • I think it will rain tomorrow. (Mujhe lagta hai kal barish hogi)
  • She will probably win the competition. (Shayad wo ye muqabla jeet jaye)

b) Promises (Waadey): It is often used to make promises or commitments about future actions.

Examples:

  • I will call you as soon as I get home. (Me ghar jate hi tumhe call karunga)
  • He will help you with your project. (Wo tumhara project karwane me tumhari madad karega)

c) Spontaneous decisions (Achanak Faisley): It can be used to express a spontaneous decision made at the moment of speaking.

Examples:

  • I will look for my keys in the living room. (Me apni chabiyan rehne wale kamre me dhundta hoon)
  • The phone is ringing. I will answer it now. (Phone baj raha hai me abhi jawab doon ga)

d) Scheduled events (Tay shuda Waqiaat): The future simple tense is used to talk about scheduled events or activities in the future.

Examples:

  • Thier conference will take place next week. (Unki conference agle hafte hogi)
  • Our flight will depart at 9:00 AM. (Hamara jahaz subah 9 baje urrey ga)

e) Offers and invitations (Bulawa): It can be used to make offers or extend invitations.

Examples:

  • I will help you with your homework if you need it. (Me tumhari madad kardunga tumhara homework krne me agar tumhe zarurat ho to)
  • Will you come to the party on Saturday? (Kya tum saniwaar ko party me aa rahe ho)

f) Uncertain assumptions (Ghair Yaqeeni Mafroozaat): It can be used to express uncertainty or assumptions about the future.

Examples:

  • She's not at home; she will probably be at work. (Wo ghar pe nahi hai shayad kaam pe hogi)
  • He hasn't eaten yet; he will be hungry later. (Us ne abhi khana nahi khaya use baad me bhook lagegi)

g) Conditional statements (Mashroot Bayanaat): In conditional sentences (first conditional), the future simple tense is often used in the main clause to express a possible future result.

Examples:

  • If it rains, I will stay home. (Agar aj barish hui to me ghar pe rahunga)
  • If you study hard, you will pass the exam. (Agar tum mehnat karoge to imtehan me pass ho jaoge)

h) To Express intentions (Neeyat Zahir karne k lye): You can use the future simple tense to convey your intentions or plans for the future.

Examples:

  • I will travel to Europe next summer. (Me garmiyon me Europe jaonga)
  • She will start a new job in September. (Wo September me ek nayi job shuru karegi)

i) Commands and requests (Hukum Aur Darkhwasht): It can be used to give polite commands or make requests.

Examples:

  • Will you please pass me the salt? (Kya tum meherbani kar ke mujhe namak do ge?)
  • Will you close the door on your way out? (Kya tum jate hue darwaza band kar doge?)
